The Milford Downtown Ongoing Improvement Team (DO-IT) is a non-profit organization that seeks to promote prosperity and vitality in downtown Milford.  The organization was formed in 1992 as a grass roots initiative to see what steps could be taken to ensure a viable future for our downtown.  Though the years, DO-IT has been inspired by the belief that downtown Milford is the heart of the community, both symbolically and socially and an economically strong downtown benefits all of Milford. 

In 1997, the DO-IT organization, with full support of the community, applied to become a part of the NH Main Street Center and Milford was accepted as one of the first three inaugural programs in the state. In 2002, Milford was honored by the National Trust For Historic Preservation's Main Street Center with their Great American Main Street Award.
